A former TV news anchor Lisa believes in the transformational power of yoga and hopes to help young and old alike find more balance, self esteem and joy in their lives through a regular yoga practice. She also believes that yoga (and a little bit of humor) leads to a significant decrease in stress and keeps you looking and feeling young! Lisa is the Founder/Owner of Pretty Postures, a yoga party business. Lisa completed her 200 hour Yoga Alliance teacher training under Johnna Smith and is kids certified under Stephanie Keach. Lisa is an avid student, practicing at workshops led by Baron Baptiste, Rolf Gates, Jim Bennit, Cameron Shayne and Sage Rountree. Lisa is a mom to three kids who also love yoga.
What Lisa’s classes like:
An energetic, flowing power Vinyasa class synchronizing breath with movement, allowing your yoga practice to become a moving meditation. You will sweat! Postures are combined into a vigorous, flowing series that builds strength, flexibility, and endurance. It’s a great workout that can be modified for any body type. Vinyasa relieves tension in the body and calms the mind. Her classes are appropriate for active beginners as well as seasoned yogis. Some yoga experience is helpful, but not required. Each class is unique. Modified versions of challenging poses will be given. Be sure to work at your own pace. It is your practice; honor your body. Her intention is that you will leave her class feeling a bit more joyful!
