Corrina dabbled in yoga here and there for several years, but it wasn’t until a severe ankle injury kept her from climbing that she really embraced yoga practice. At the time, Corrina was working on a PhD in Minnesota but had been questioning the direction her life was headed. Finally, one evening in a candlelight flow class–after months of internal struggle– she realized it was time to leave. Corrina packed up her pup and a U-Haul and moved back to Charlotte with no plans other than to just figure out life as it happened.
Corrina bounced around from one studio to the next until a dear friend introduced her to Y2. Within a span of eight months, she went from being someone’s guest at the studio, to taking part in the energy exchange program, to scoring a job at the front desk to crying/laughing/journaling/chaturanga-ing her way through teacher training.
“This studio is my refuge. Although I intend with each class to help you push your mental and physical limits, my ultimate goal is to create a space for you to find peace with whatever might be weighing on your heart.”
Outside of Y2, you’ll find Corrina climbing, spending time with her dogbabies, or perfecting her high five techniques. She quips, “Also, I can lick my elbow.”
