After growing up a gymnast and cheering at UNC, Brittney decided to introduce yoga into her workout routine in order to relax, stretch and maintain her flexibility. Little did she know that she would quickly fall in love with the practice and make it part of her everyday life.
Brittney’s passion is working out and being active, but she often found herself getting bored doing the same workout at the gym. She started taking classes at various studios around Charlotte, but didn’t get “addicted” until she purchased the Y2 new student special and vowed to go 3x a week. It didn’t take long for Brittney to get hooked on Y2 and the practice.
“I loved the flow of the class, the upbeat music and the contagious energy. It gave me perspective and reminded me that life is not as complicated as we make it.”
The same year Brittney made a move to Raleigh, NC she decided she wanted to share her love of the practice and become a yoga instructor. “The only place I wanted to complete my training was at Y2, so I commuted from Raleigh to Charlotte for 8 weekends in the Spring 2016”.
Now Britney is back in Charlotte for good and has found her home at Y2! In her classes, you can expect lots of high energy, upbeat music and a safe space for you to have fun on your mat.
“I love talking to people and getting them excited to do yoga. I know how happy I feel and how clear my mind is after I practice, and I want to share that with others.”
