New to yoga? This is a great place to start. While this class emphasizes the fundamentals of an asana practice for the beginner, it also meets the needs of more advanced yogis looking for deepen their practice with correct alignment of the postures and proper breathing techniques. Although it’s a beginner-level class, it still features Y2 style flow and will prepare students to confidently participate in Y2 Straight Shot, Y2 Single Shot and Y2 Double Shot classes. We offer heated and non-heated 101 classes!
Y2 Single Shot
This class features our signature Y2 style flow that incorporates 14 standard postures in the standing series. Class starts with a warm up before moving into the standing series, core work, backbends, inversions and floor work. The standing series repeats one time through which allows for more time to strengthen the body and focus the mind. No two classes ever feel the same, and we keep you on your toes thanks to each teacher’s unique style of pose transitions, modifications and additions. Class is heated.
Y2 Double Shot
Kick it up a notch with this fast-pace flow. We double up the standing series to give you a chance to tackle every pose twice, adding in modifications or variations as is appropriate for your own personal practice. This class is cardiovascularly intense so we harness the power of the breath to slow you down but fire your practice up. Expect to move with your breath, crank out some core work, and settle in to a hard-earned savasana at the end. Class is heated.
Let it flow. Intermediate yogis looking to push beyond their physical limits find their way to this intense, vinyasa-style class with core work, backbends and floor work. The pace is fast, and instruction is minimal so we recommend a good understanding of each asana. This class challenges your endurance, cardiovascular system, and mental control with a cleverly designed triple flow sequence: (Round 1) standard poses (Round 2) advanced variation options (Round 3) rapid flow, one breath per movement. Class is heated.
Y2 Twilight Single Shot
Slow down and settle in to your practice with this mellow, late-evening class. You’ll move through the standing series just once, allowing you time to align your posture, breath and mind. Whether you’re heading out for the night or straight to bed, you’ll leave feeling refreshed and ready for anything. Class is heated.
Y2 Straight Shot (Non-Heated)
This class is for yogis who love to flow but without the heat. Class format follows single shot with standing series being repeated one time through in addition to a warm up, core work, back bends, inversions and floor work. Class is warm, but non-heated. Temperatures around 80-84 degrees.
Long, Slow, Deep (LSD)
This class is a trip. If you watch people practically float out of the studio in a state of euphoria, they’ve probably just left LSD. This deep-stretch, restorative class is appropriate for all levels. You’ll start with a gentle 10-15 minute vinyasa flow to warm the body up before coming to the floor to explore the depths of the body’s flexibility with long (3- to 5-minute) holds of each pose.Class is warm, but non-heated. Temperatures around 80-84 degrees.
Bring your kid to yoga! Our Kids Yoga classes are playful, but have a definite structure in place to keep everyone safe and learning. Kids might link up their trees into forests and their chair and tabletop poses into complete kitchen sets from time to time, but they will learn the fundamentals of yoga poses, learn to collaborate, & cooperate, Kids who practice yoga experience greater focus, feel healthier and happier and have an overall increase in the well-being. Class is non-heated. Ages 6-11 welcome.
The roots of Y2 Yoga: Ashtanga. This class synchronizes the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. Y2 Strength (Non-Heated)
Strength and flexibility go hand-in-hand and it’s important to have both to live your happiest, healthiest life. This class utilizes body-weight exercises, resistance bands and dumbbells for a total body strength training workout. Note, this is not a yoga fusion class…strength only! Class is non-heated. Bring your mat but we don’t wear shoes!
