Angeline (Angie) took her first yoga class at Yoga One with Johnna Smith in 2006. Seven years later, Johnna became Angie’s teacher for Y2 Teacher training.
Angie was working for a non-profit agency as a Bankruptcy/Debt Management Counselor for 5 years before becoming a teacher at Y2. Angie enjoyed her work in counseling as she had an opportunity to help people.
Unfortunately, Angie was laid off. Questioning her next move, she signed up for Y2’s 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training and has been at Y2 ever since! Angie is not only a teacher – she also greets yogis at the desk and serves as the teacher liaison on the management team.
Angie shares, “I am a huge believer in destiny. I don’t question why things happen the way the do because I have realized that not a single moment in my life has been a waste of time. All the good and the all the bad has led me to finding happiness, peace and love for everything I do.”
“I want my students to know that when they come to my class I will ask them to give their best and I will ask them to go a little deeper every time. Know that your best effort is always good enough, on and off the mat. Of course, I will play the music loud. #turndownforwhat”
