The NEW Covid “Normal”

Fall “usually” means the kids are back in school, with crazy, overlapping schedules that need to be juggled.  Some days you just want to pull your hair out and just come to @y2yoga!   But in today’s COVID world we are feeling a deep sense of disruption to our typical fall. Our “new normal” fall. And … it doesn’t matter if you have preschoolers, elementary, middle school, HS, or college students. This new life is really getting “annoying.”  While some schools are attempting to get back in ”standard” session, others are going in different ”cohorts”… that’s a new word made popular with Covid🤣… while most are completely virtual with synchronous and asynchronous teaching (oh… that’s 2 more new words that have been introduced due to Covid learning ).

With life unlike anything we have ever seen, keeping one’s normal structure is vital. We need to maintain (and embrace) our tried and true habits … and the corresponding structure … that will help us navigate this uncharted territory.

Of course, the question becomes … What is the constant habit that will no doubt help?  Do we even need to say it’s ……YOGA!

Make time for yourself and schedule a class in the studio, of course classes are conducted in a safe and socially distanced environment. If in-the-studio doesn’t work for you, don’t worry. We have both live and on demand virtual classes to fit that crazy schedule of yours. Yoga can be that much needed structure in your crazy world. Yoga is known to relieve stress and help you relax. Yoga has a significant calming effect because it shifts focus. We need a calming factor in our life during this time. Control the sh*t you can and make some time to practice yoga. It might just be the structure you need to navigate the new normal.
