Uncertainty Can Be Okay

You all know what we’re talking about. That voice inside your head trying to predict what’s going to happen next. Just so you can prepare or not prepare. You tell yourself you HAVE to know what’s next so you can surround yourself with safety nets. It’s in our DNA. We want to know. We almost feel we NEED to know everything, especially when it comes to our future and what the next chapter in our life holds. Guess what though? We can’t know until it happens and that’s fine.

Sometimes we want to know what’s next so bad, we start try to predict what’s next and 95% of the time we go with the bad outcome. Panic, stress, and anxiety strike. We are afraid and nervous for what’s to come with absolutely no reason at all. We choose one outcome and stick with it, blind to the fact that we are only letting ourselves see what we can see in the moment. The outcomes we create in our heads to cope with the fact that we don’t know, are never the whole story.

When we are stressed or anxious, our views are restricted and our perception is warped. So….. R-E-L-A-X and recognize there are things you do not know. There are things coming your way you know nothing about – some good, some bad and remember that in the past there have been things in your life that have turned out okay. Your survival rate so far in regards to bad days, shitty situations, and being in the midst of uncertainty is 100% and that’s pretty f***ing good.
