2-hr Immersion with Buffy 

This two-hour immersive workshop is suitable for beginners through advanced yoga practitioners. This workshop provides a structured approach for increasing strength, flexibility, and mobility in common hip-opening yoga postures. We will explore base techniques and skills to use in your daily practice of hip/low back health,  and that can also be used to develop a more complex hip-opener yoga practice.

Healthy Mobility, Optimal Function, and Heart Openers

2-hr Immersion with Buffy 

This two-hour immersive workshop is suitable for beginners through advanced yoga practitioners. This workshop provides a structured approach for increasing strength, flexibility, and mobility in common yoga postures affecting upper back, neck, and shoulders.  We will explore base techniques and skills to use in your daily practice of upper back/neck/shoulder health, and that can also be used to build upon and develop a more complex heart opener yoga practice.

Not Just “WOW” Peak Postures

We will spend time breaking down the mechanics of the lower body and will explore facilitated stretching with and without the use of props. Using a “stair step” approach, we will work on lower body mechanics that may be applied to warrior poses, lunges, splits, folds, and will culminate in optional Eka Pada Sirsasana and Yogidandasana variants (various postures with leg behind arm, neck, or head).  Whether you are a student simply seeking ways to practice gracefully and forego hip/back pain, OR you are a student working on advanced hip opening postures, you will come away with education, drills, and skills to deepen your competencies over time, as well as a variety of techniques that can be woven into future practices for your continued growth.

  • Step-by-step instruction with refined cuing
  • Do’s and Don’ts
  • Skills and drills for maintenance
  • Peak posture breakdown and guidance for advanced practice
  • This workshop is approved by Yoga Alliance and is eligible for Continuing Education credits for Yoga instructors

Upper Body Work for Functional Mobility as well as Deep Heart Openers

We will spend time breaking down the mechanics of the upper thoracic/head/neck/shoulder system. We will explore facilitated stretching with and without the use of props. Using a “stair step” approach, we will work on upper body mechanics that may be applied to backbend variations, Urdhva Dhanurasana variations, Kapotasana, flipped grip, and Mexican/hollowback variations.  Whether you are a student simply seeking ways to practice gracefully and forego upper back/neck/shoulder pain, OR you are a student working on advanced heart opening postures, you will come away with education, drills, and skills to deepen your competencies over time, as well as a variety of techniques that can be woven into future practices for your continued growth.

You will receive an info booklet all about Ayurveda, daily tips and tools to enhance your vitality and enthusiasm, meditation practices. If you choose to do the cleanse, you will receive guidance and through the entire process. This workshop does not include asana, practice before or after!
