“Nobody is too busy. It’s just a matter of priorities.” – unknown
It’s true. We have more time throughout the day than we think we do. Time management isn’t the difficult challenge we face when composing our schedule. It’s choosing what’s most important that deserves to be added to your schedule.
Regardless of how much you have on your plate, if there’s something else that isn’t on that full plate of yours and you truly want it to be, you will make it happen no matter what. One of our favorite examples is:
You Don’t Have to Quit Your Day Job to Become a Yoga Teacher.
That’s right! You can have everything you’ve ever wanted, and then some! Want to hear something else even crazier?
You don’t have to take time off of work to take a Yoga Teacher Training.
Can you believe that? Trust us, the process of going through teacher training is a lot. You grow in your practice, and you grow as a person. We even have people who take our Teacher Trainings that aren’t even taking the training to become teachers. They are taking it to better themselves. If you had to quit your job, or take time off of work just to take a teacher training course, we wouldn’t have that many yoga teachers or teacher training graduates. Even some of our most popular sought out teacher don’t just teach yoga for a living. Dorie Joy, one of our popular teachers, does a lot more than teaching yogis. Check this out.
Here’s another example. Buffy Kelly. If you’ve ever taken one of her classes, you *actually* know what it’s like to get your a** handed to you when it comes to hot power yoga. She not only teaches yoga here at Y2 more than a few times during the week at Y2, she also owns the ad agency, Tattoo Projects.
Both these women teach a lot of classes, take a lot of classes, and enjoy working towards success in other ways as well. The most effective way to manage your time correctly, work full time and still happily pursue other goals, is to stop thinking about it so much and just go for it.
