01 — Your First Visit
No experience?
Perfect.
You do not need flexibility, a yoga résumé, or a fancy matching set. You just need to show up.
What makes Y2 Yoga different?
Y2 is powerful, modern yoga with traditional poses, smart sequencing, music that actually has a pulse, and an atmosphere that challenges your body without taking itself too seriously. Every class is designed to build strength, focus, resilience, and a little more confidence in your own skin.
I’m new to yoga, or not flexible, can I still come?
Absolutely. You do not need experience or flexibility to start yoga; those are things you build along the way. Our instructors offer options and guidance so you can make the class work for your body, right now.
What should I bring and wear?
Recommended: a change of clothes, towel, water bottle, mat, and a Yogitoe. But even if you forget it all, we’ve got you. Rentals and water/retail are available for sale at every location. If you’re on the New Student Special, mat and mat towel rental are complimentary during that window.
Wear comfortable clothes that let you move freely and stay put through bends, lunges, and whatever your hamstrings have to say about it. Moisture-wicking fabrics are a very good call for heated classes.
Is there a dress code?
No peekaboo. That’s the rule.
Wear whatever makes you feel good, lets you move freely, and survives a sweaty hour of bending, twisting, and questioning your life choices. But if it shifts, slips, rides up, falls out, or tries to become a different outfit mid class…it’s not the one.
This applies to everyone. Men, women, all humans in between and beyond. If it’s not staying put, it’s not studio approved.
So check yourself before class. If there’s any chance of an accidental cameo, add more coverage. We’re here for yoga, not wardrobe malfunctions.
How early should I arrive?
For your first class, plan to arrive about 15 minutes early. That gives you time to check in, get oriented, settle your gear, and start without rushing through the door like you are being chased by a bear.
Which class should I take first?
You can take any Y2 class as a beginner. The better question is what will make you feel most comfortable. Choose a class that sounds like the right amount of challenge, tell your instructor it is your first time, and take options whenever you need them. Get too hot? Walk out and take a breather, no big deal. Want to lay in child’s pose the entire class? Also no problem. This is your practice.
Do you offer heated classes?
Yes. Most Y2 classes are heated to help you move deeper, build endurance, and leave feeling like you did something. If you want the same Y2 style with less heat and humidity intensity, Cotswold offers a “Not as Hot” option too. Check each class description for the specific format and heat level before booking.
How old do I need to be to practice?
We love enthusiasm. We love young yogis. But we keep this one simple: you must be 14 or older to practice at Y2. No exceptions.
Can I bring my kids to class?
We love your kids. We just can’t babysit them while you’re sweating it out.
Children cannot be left unattended anywhere in the studio while you take class. That includes the lobby, the hallway, or parked somewhere with an iPad and a snack.
Please make childcare arrangements before you come to practice. You get your yoga. They get proper supervision. Everybody wins.
Are phones allowed in the studio?
Nope. The yoga room is a phone free zone.
Your phone doesn’t need yoga. You do. Leave it outside the room and give yourself one hour where nobody can text you, email you, Slack you, tag you, or ask where you put something. It’ll still be there when class is over. We promise.
What if I have an injury?
Let your instructor know before class begins, listen to your body, and use modifications whenever you need them. Yoga is not a contest. If you have a significant injury or medical concern, check with your healthcare professional before practicing.
Will my heart rate go up? What are the benefits?
Depending on the class, yes, Y2 can be a real cardiovascular challenge. Consistent practice can support strength, mobility, balance, stress management, focus, energy, and better recovery.
How often should I practice, and when am I ready for more?
Start with a pace you can repeat. Two or three classes a week is plenty for many people; consistency matters more than going nuclear on day one.
02 — The $39 Offer
Three weeks.
Unlimited yoga.
The straightforward answers before your brain turns a simple offer into a dissertation.
What happens if Y2 is not for me?
Take three classes. If you do not love it, we will refund your $39. If you love it and continue into a membership, we credit that $39 toward your first month.
03 — Classes & Practice
Move your body.
Meet yourself there.
A little guidance for getting more comfortable in class without turning yoga into homework.
Does pre-enrolling guarantee my spot?
It gets your name on the roster, but pre-enrolling alone does not guarantee your spot. To keep your spot, you need to be at the studio and checked in by the time class starts. If class is sold out and you’re not there when it begins, your spot may go to someone on the waitlist.
How does check in work?
Booking the class gets you on the list. Checking in tells us you actually showed up. You need to do both.
- Get on the roster by pre-enrolling in the app or adding your name on a studio iPad.
- When you arrive, tap the Check In box next to your name.
That second tap matters. If your name is on the roster but the Check In box never gets tapped, our system thinks you stood us up. Twenty four hours after class, it automatically marks you as a no show and charges a $5 fee. Our front desk can’t check you in, that little tap belongs to you.
How does the waitlist work?
If a class is sold out, get yourself on the waitlist and come to the studio ready to practice. When class starts, any spots belonging to people who haven’t arrived and checked in become fair game, starting with the waitlist. So if you really want into a sold out class, show up.
What if I need to cancel?
Plans change, we’re not mad about it. We just need one full hour. Cancel at least one hour before class starts and you’re good. Cancel less than an hour before class and it counts as a late cancel, which comes with a $5 fee. Simple math: 60+ minutes = no fee, under 60 = $5.
What if I’m running late?
Some yoga is better than no yoga. Running behind happens, come anyway. If class has already started, wait for a natural pause, enter quietly, find your spot, and jump in. One thing to know: if the class was sold out and you weren’t there when it started, your reserved spot may have already gone to someone on the waitlist.
Can I leave class early?
If you need to leave early, please do so before Savasana begins. Once Savasana starts, you’re staying put. Those last few minutes matter to everyone lying still with their eyes closed.

Can I get a refund on a membership or pass?
Once purchased, memberships and passes are non-refundable. In some cases we may be able to exchange or transfer the value of a purchase depending on the situation. See a manager and we’ll review your options.

In the app, go to Account at the bottom right, then Your Wallet, then Payment Methods. Tap Add a Payment Method, choose Card or US Bank Account, and finish with Set Up.
Worth knowing: add your bank account using ACH and save yourself the 3.9% credit card processing fee. That fee applies when paying by credit card for memberships, passes, and enrollments. Same yoga, 3.9% less nonsense.

Come through.
We saved you a spot.
Location questions, group plans, and the last few things you may need before you hit the mat.
What’s the workshop cancellation policy?
We know plans change. Just give us at least 72 hours notice if yours do. Cancel with 72 hours or more and you’re good. Inside that window, your workshop payment is forfeited.
What’s the Teacher Training cancellation policy?
Your $500 deposit is non-refundable. If life happens and you need to leave the program early, we’ll stop your remaining installments, but anything already paid is non-refundable. You’re always welcome to pick back up in a future session.
What if I lose something at the studio?
We will absolutely help you look. We cannot promise your emotional support water bottle will find its way home.
Y2 isn’t responsible for lost or misplaced belongings, so keep an eye on your stuff.
And put your name on your mat. Seriously. Black yoga mats are apparently born in litters of 400 and they all look exactly alike.
Lockers are for daytime use only. Bring a lock so your stuff stays put. Nothing can be left overnight.
Can I return something I bought in the studio?
Retail purchases can be returned within 7 days of purchase, if unused and all original tags are still attached. Once it’s been used or the tags come off, it’s yours.
Is there parking available?
Yes. Each Y2 studio has parking available for students. Details vary slightly by location, so give yourself a few extra minutes for your first visit.
Do you offer private sessions, corporate classes, or special events?
Yes. Y2 can host private yoga sessions, corporate classes, group experiences, and special events. Tell us what you are planning and we’ll help you build something your group will actually remember.
Do you sell gift cards?
Of course we do. Nothing says I love you quite like 60 minutes in a 100 degree room. Head to our Gift Cards page to grab one.
Are gift cards refundable?
Nope. Once purchased, gift cards are non-refundable. If you have an unusual situation, see a manager, we may have options, but refunds aren’t one of them.
